(08/03/12) - Downtown Flint's Riverbank Park will be filled with the sweet sound of cool jazz this weekend.
The 31st annual Flint Jazz Festival gets underway Friday at 5:30.
The three-day festival in downtown Flint features a mix of food and vendors, along with plenty of performances by both local musicians, as well as a national headliner each night.
"The park will have a great atmosphere with people visiting with neighbors and friends. Chieli Minucci will play on Saturday night. Karen Briggs, a famous violinist will play Saturday night also. Sunday night, we have Pete Escovedo, who used to play with Santana," said Greg Fiedler of the Greater Flint Arts Council.
Admission is $2.
