(08/05/12) - A morning of worship turned deadly at a Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Sunday morning, a shooter shattered through the quiet service, killing seven and injuring many more.
The shooting in Wisconsin marks the second mass shooting in America in less than a month.
The tragedy inside the Colorado movie theater just 16 days ago is leaving many wondering again, is any place safe anymore?
"I think a lot of these people are looking for a vulnerable population where the public gathers, that could be a church, a movie theater, a mall," said Tom Mynsberge of Critical Incident Management.
"Some people who are in a desperate state look at this, look at the notoriety to solve their problems," he said. "Unfortunately I think we will see more."
This shooting is right on the heels of the movie theater shooting in Colorado a few weeks ago. Mynsberge won't be surprised to see mass killings happen more often.
It's something that churches here in Mid-Michigan have to deal with every day.
Mynsberge says it's important to be aware of your surroundings while out in public, and always know where to find your nearest exit.
