(08/06/12) - An 18-year-old Mt. Morris man has been sentenced to spend the next 23 to 41 years in prison for his role in the murder of a retired Genesee County Sheriff's Lieutenant.
18-year-old Ryan DeVille pleaded guilty, in June, to second-degree murder and felony firearm charges in the 2011 murder of 76-year-old Lonnie Thomas.
DeVille had faced nine counts.
As part of his agreement with prosecutors, DeVille will testify against co-defendant Aaron Robinson.
Investigators believe Thomas was shot when he caught them robbing his Flint home.
