FLINT (WJRT) -
(08/07/12) - There is concern about additional teacher layoffs in Flint.
It ties into federal Title I money the district has not yet received.
Flint Schools spokesman Bob Campbell says the money is expected by late September.
In years past, Campbell says the district has carried the cost of the positions it pays for, but the district doesn't expect to this year.
The money can be used for teachers, para professionals, facilitators and technology techs, for example.
Additional discussion about this is expected at next week's board meeting.
