
(08/08/12) - Flint's Claressa Shields has done it again.
She won easily over Marina Volnova of Kazakhstan in a boxing semi-final match Wednesday morning.
As Shields chases her Olympic dream in London, her hometown supporters stand united.
Wednesday morning, her mom, dad, siblings and complete strangers gathered once again at Blackstones for a viewing party of the semi-final boxing match.
Shields showed no mercy to her opponent.
"She's the best, she woke up ready," said Claressa's brother Dusable Lewis.
She was the clear winner in the first there rounds. Then in the fourth, she sealed the deal 29-15.
"My sister is going to bring home the gold, she ain't losing at all, she's a beast, man," said Claressa's sister Briana Shields.
Shields mother and father were in the crowd. Their excitement was electric, and their confidence in their daughter is stronger than ever.

"As long as she stays focused, she'll be fine. You see the accuracy, she's sharp, she's sharp today," said Claressa's dad Clarence Shields.
Shields steps into the ring to go for gold around noon Thursday.
