(08/08/12) - In his final hours on the job, Mike Brown signed off on a contract with the county to run the city's lockup.
The $2.2 million contract will pay for the Genesee County Sheriff's Department to operate it for one year.
The state is paying for it.
Sheriff Robert Pickell says it will be open in six to seven weeks.
