(08/10/12) - They stole a piece of Flint's history, but that's about all thieves got away with this week.
The historic Durant-Dort Building on Water Street was broken into sometime early Thursday morning.
The thieves didn't leave the building with much, just loose change and petty cash.
But they did leave a lasting impression, smashing out the original glass windows from most of the doors.
The Durant-Dort Office building was built in the 1890s. It served as the focal point during the creation of General Motors.
