(08/16/12) - New technology is coming to public transportation buses in Saginaw next week.
New automated fare boxes have been installed on all STARS buses.
The boxes accept cash, coins and magnetic swipe cards that operate like a debit card.
Passengers can use the boxes starting Monday.
The STARS assistant general manager says the boxes will help track ridership and eliminate inaccuracies.
