(08/20/12) - The Flint Community Schools has changed plans for honoring Olympic Gold Medal winner Claressa Shields.
The event will now take place Sept. 15 at the Flint Communities Back to School Celebration at Perani Arena.
The district had originally planed to honor Shields a week earlier at Houston Stadium, but they decided the there would be more room and parking at Perani Arena.
The Back to school event runs from 12-5 p.m.
