(08/29/12) - An NFL great continues to help the people of his hometown here in Mid-Michigan.
LaMarr Woodley practiced with his Pittsburgh Steelers Wednesday morning, and then came to Saginaw to be part of the first "First Impression Back to School Charity Event."
About 200 boys going into the first through eighth grade were given backpacks, hygiene products and even a free haircut to get them off on the right foot as they start school.
This comes just a couple of weeks after Woodley donated $60,000 to pay for Saginaw school athletes participation fees.
After the event, Woodley was back on a plane heading back to Pittsburgh.
The Steelers final preseason game is Thursday night.
