(08/31/12) - A performance company is sending a message to students just days before the start of a new school year.
The Bullycide Project is a traveling theater production that strives to talk with students all across the country about the impact that bullying can have in someone's life.
The actors visit schools and share true stories about real life bullying experiences.
A number of the cast members know first hand about it because they have been bullied themselves.
They want students to remember the consequences of bullying this school year.
"What we're trying to do with the Bullycide Project is trying to equip kids with the voice and tools to stand up to them, knowing that a bully is going to be a part of someone's life at any given moment," said Lori Thompson, Bullycide Project director.
