GENESEE COUNTY (WJRT) -
(09/05/12) - A judge has denied a request for a mental exam for a 22-year-old man accused of killing his father in the basement of their suburban Detroit home and dumping the body in a cornfield in Genesee County.
Prosecutors say the Patrick Mikes Junior killed his father, 55-year-old Patrick Mikes Senior, with multiple blows to the head and dumped the body in Montrose Township.
They say his son then reported him missing two days later. Mikes Junior is charged with one count of open murder.
