(09/05/12) - Thousands of people in Mid-Michigan got free roses Wednesday, but there was a slight catch.
Bentley Florist in Burton supported Good Neighbor Day by giving away a dozen roses to anyone who visited the shop.
The 3,500 flowers were gone by noon.
Those who took the flowers had to pledge they will keep one for themselves, but give away the other 11.
Members of the Michigan Warriors hockey team handed them out at the store.
This is the eighteenth year of the give-away program.
