(09/10/12) - Investigators are searching for the people who took more than $27,000 worth of stolen property.
Saginaw County Sheriff Bill Federspiel says late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, someone removed 24 tires and rims off vehicles at Rick Ford in Hemlock.
Thieves also damaged a window and took a white cargo van.
They say there have been other dealerships that have been broken into over the past few weeks in Genesee County and places near Frankenmuth.
"These people know exactly what they're doing. They were looking for specific types of rims - specific sizes - all specific vehicles, so we are also going to get in touch with the Auto County Theft Team and have that individual looking into this matter ASAP," Federspiel said.
The Sheriff says if he can link the criminals to similar crimes, they could be charged with a 20 year felony.
