(09/11/12) - Some Mid-Michigan college students will get a hands on experience thanks to General Motors.
Tuesday morning, the automaker donated 1,000 pounds of aluminum bars to Saginaw Valley State University.
The metal came from GM Metal Casting Operations in Saginaw and will be used by engineering students.
They will use the aluminum to help develop real life job skills using the university's foundry.
