(09/11/12) - After two years without one, Flint teachers have approved a new contract.
Six hundred members of the United Teachers of Flint overwhelmingly approved the contract.
The contract reportedly calls for a 5 percent pay cut, and a 2 percent cut in the form of furlough days.
The agreement still needs final approval by the school board.
Earlier this year, Flint Schools passed a budget that cut millions from the budget and closed four schools.
