(09/14/12) - A Holly woman has been sentenced to 10-20 years in prison for a mortgage scheme that cheated at least 60 people out of more than a quarter of a million dollars.
The Attorney General's office says Tashia Winstanley charged clients a fee for loan modifications, but she never actually adjusted the loans.
They say she also pocketed mortgage payments sent to her company.
Winstanley pleaded guilty to three felony charges and was ordered to pay back more than $243,000.
