Mid-Michigan soldier killed in car crash to be laid to rest

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -

(09/15/12) - The Saginaw community is preparing to say goodbye to a soldier who died in a car accident.

Army Specialist Ryan Abbott graduated from Swan Valley High School in 1995.

Abbott was stationed at Fort Lewis in Wash.

That's where he was killed in a car accident on Sept. 6.

Visitation for Abbott takes place from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel.

It's located in the 4400 block of Mackinaw Road in Saginaw Township. That's near Shattuck Road.

Abbott's funeral will take pace immediately following, at noon.
