Man charged, two CMU students recovering from stab wounds

ISABELLA COUNTY (WJRT) -

(09/17/12) - Two Central Michigan University students are recovering from stab wounds Monday, and a man is in jail facing 10 charges.

It's because of an incident over the weekend at the Deerfield Apartment Complex, near Mt. Pleasant. Michigan State Police were called there around 1:15 Sunday morning. They found two people had been stabbed.

22-year-old Todd Gerheiser from Belding was quickly identified as the person believed to be responsible.

He was taken to jail. The most serious charge he faces is assault with intent to murder.
