Police: Autopsy shows gunshot killed Flint teen

Posted: Updated:

(09/18/12) - Police say an autopsy shows a teen, killed in Flint Sunday night, died from a gunshot wound and not from being hit by a vehicle.

The 16 year old, whose name is not being released, was shot while walking in the area of Home and Glenn Avenues around 8 p.m. Police say he was then hit by a vehicle. The driver did not stop.

Police say the vehicle was a newer model, gold, Chevrolet Avalanche. It may have front damage.  The damage may be minor.

The vehicle was last seen driving east on Home Ave. away from Glenn Ave., according to police.

No suspect information, connected to the shooting, has been released.

Please call Michigan State Police D/Sgt. Valencia Jones at 810-237-6934 if you have any information.
