
(09/25/12) - A traffic stop in Clare County turned into a high speed case Monday.
It happened on US 10 near Lake Station Avenue, just west of Farwell.
A deputy pulled over a 1990 Pontiac Firebird. As he was getting out of his patrol car, the driver took off - reaching speeds more 100 miles an hour.
The chase ended in Osceloa County when the deputy spun the driver's car into a ditch.
The 22-year-old man behind the wheel was taken to jail on outstanding warrants and several new charges.
