(10/04/12) - A family is preparing to celebrate the life of a teen killed near a bus stop this week.
Fifteen-year old Ava Taylor died Tuesday after she was hit and killed near her bus stop in Burton.
The family is putting together a memorial service at her mother's home Sunday to celebrate her life.
Police say the driver did stop after he hit Taylor.
The memorial will be held at Ava's mothers home - 4412 Lapeer Rd, in Burton, at 1 p.m.
