(10/05/12) - Friday weddings are becoming more common. This Friday, a Mid-Michigan couple added a unique twist to that trend.
Good stories can always be found in a library. From fairytales to science fiction, a simple turn of the page can take you to a world far, far away.
Inside a Davison library, a true story unfolded among some of the best "written" love stories of all time.
A library isn't a traditional wedding setting, but John Miller and Jennifer Witson are familiar with "novel" concepts.
"Every good memory I can look back on as a kid has to do with libraries, books and reading and everything else," Witson said.
Davison's senior librarian says all great stories are unique ones.
"This is the first time for the whole entire system. We're trail blazers," Mary Higginbottom said.
While this love story is 10 years in the making, it took just a week to plan the library wedding.
"Local libraries are so important to their communities and people don't think about that. It's important to me and I couldn't think of a place that had more significance to me," Witson said.
