(10/10/12) - Gov. Snyder has a plan to stream line state departments - and make
life easier for Michigan residents.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation made a stop in Flint Wednesday to
talk about the new initiative.
Right now, if you need to talk to the department of transportation or the state
housing development authority, you need to talk to two different people. This
plan would change that.
The idea is to break down the walls of different state departments. All
departments would work together and focus on common goals and responsibilities.
This way, you can get an answer to your questions no matter which department you
go to.
Local businesses, officials and faith leaders met at the Mass Transportation
Authority Wednesday to talk about this new plan.
They say this should mean better, more efficient services from the state.
This group brought this same idea to Saginaw on Tuesday.
