FENTON TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -

(10/12/12) - They wanted to do something.

It started with meetings.  Then presentations.  Soon, a DVD will be available to schools nationwide.

Community Parent, Inc. formed following the February 2011 deaths of two Fenton area teenagers.  The girls died within days of each other.  They were friends.  Both overdosed on heroin.

The group recently filmed their raw, real "Chasing the Dragon" presentation.

It was filmed at The Freedom Center in Fenton.

President Bob Krug says the group has received calls from all over the country.

"Indiana. Ohio. Anchorage, Alaska.  We are currently planning one in Holly which is in Oakland County," Krug says.

They wanted to be able to reach as many people as possible.

"We'd like to be able to say one day say we saved hundreds," Krug says.

More than 20,000 Genesee County students have seen the "Chasing the Dragon" presentation.

The DVD should be available by November, Krug says.
