(10/18/12) - An effort by Genesys to expand healthcare services to downtown Flint is getting support by the state - to the tune of more than half a million dollars.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation approved the use of $39 million to help business development.
One of the five projects receiving financial support is the remodel of a three-story building in Flint that will serve as the future home of a new Genesys Medical Facility.
The project is expected to bring 75 jobs to the downtown area.
