(10/22/12) - It's the first step in making the University of Michigan-Flint a
state-of-the-art science facility.
The university opened a brand new physics classroom Monday afternoon.
It was funded through a $1.4 million pledge by an alum, David Zick and his wife
Francine.
The university says this new room will make it easier for students to discuss as
a group.
And it's just one part of a $22 million renovation the university is planning.
UM-Flint's next step is to renovate the entire Murchie Science Building. They'll
add more labs for chemistry and biology, and they'll update the building's
infrastructure.
