(10/23/12)- The Community Foundation of Greater Flint is celebrating "Flint Women and Girls Day."
As part of Tuesday morning's festivities at the Sarvis Center, the 2012 Libby Award was presented to Katherine Saunders.
Saunders is a retired educator, non-profit executive and management consultant.
She was chosen for her years of empowering women and girls through education and mentoring.
Flint Women and Girls Day celebrates philanthropists who are working to improve the lives of others across Genesee County.
