(11/04/12) - Sunday afternoon members of the Yellow Ribbon Guard are hosting their first collection day of the holiday season.
Goodies collected during the Saginaw Spirit game at The Dow Event Center, will be packed up and sent to our service men and women serving abroad.
It's the eighth year for the 'Send Santa to the Troops' program.
The group will be at The Dow starting at 3 p.m.
If you miss that event, several others are planned. They'll also be at Saginaw Medical Credit Union on Michigan Ave. in Saginaw from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 9.
Nov. 11 the Yellow Ribbon Guard will be collecting items at Glen's Market in West Branch. That event runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Then on Nov. 16, Garber Buick in Saginaw Township is taking part in the 'Stuff the Bus Weekend'. You can drop off items from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. The next day collections are being taken at Northwoods Wholesale Outlet in Pinconning. That event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The final collection day is Nov. 18 at the K-Mart parking lot in Bay City. It's located at the corner of Euclid Ave. and Wilder Rd. It runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All the goodies will be packed up and shipped out on Nov. 19.
