Interviews begin for Cabela's in Saginaw County - ABC 12 – WJRT – Flint, MI

(11/07/12) - Plans are moving forward with a new retailer in Saginaw County.

Cabela's will soon open for shoppers to enjoy.

Wednesday, our cameras were allowed inside the building for the first time.

What once housed Circuit City is being transformed into a wonderland for outdoor enthusiasts.

The 43,000 square foot store is located on Tittabawassee road and is expected to open in a few months.

"It definitely will be an outdoor person's paradise. There will be fishing, hunting, camping, all kinds of sporting goods things," said Scott Eigner, project superintendent.

Cabela's plans to hire more than 100 new employees for the Saginaw County location. More than 1,000 people applied for jobs.

The company began the interviewing process Wednesday.
