(11/08/12) - A little bit of Christmas is on its way to the desert, and about 40 troops serving in Afghanistan.
The Burton group is called "My Heart Supports the Troops" and they are acting a bit like Santa's helper.
Volunteers spent Wednesday afternoon wrapping, packing and decorating holiday care packages. They'll be sent to soldiers who will spend their Christmas overseas.
They stuffed Christmas trees, ornaments, Santa hats, cards, presents and lots of love into each box.
The Christmas care packages will ship out Thursday and should reach Afghanistan in two weeks.
