SAGINAW COUNTY (WJRT) -

(11/08/12) - A local hospital is preparing to expand.

Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw County announced details about its Cancer Care Center.

ABC12 News found out what that will mean for patients.

The renovations will make it easier for doctors to build stronger relationships with their cancer patients who will come there.

They will have more space inside of the cancer care center that's being renovated.

The manager for the health care center says renovations are taking place on the third and fifth floors.

The third floor will be an outpatient infusion therapy area where cancer patients can get blood products and antibiotics.

It will be twice as big as the other one.

The fifth floor will be a waiting area for families. Those who specialize in cancer treatments will be on that floor as well.

The renovations should be completed around January.
