CMU professor resigns after child pornography charges - ABC 12 – WJRT – Flint, MI

(11/12/12) - A Central Michigan University professor charged with having child pornography on his work computer has resigned.

Last week, the Isabella County prosecutors charged William Merrill with distributing child pornography, possessing child pornography, and using a computer to commit a crime.

The university says an employee found "inappropriate material" on his computer.

Merrill's research focuses on Internet censorship and the use of children in advertising.
