LAPEER (WJRT) -
(11/13/12) - The Lapeer County Sheriff is asking for your help to track down a man wanted in a brutal attack.
It happened Sunday evening on Marlette Road in Rich Township.
Investigators say Jesse Carey placed a tree across the road to block the path of his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend.
When they got out of their car, authorities say Carey ambushed the couple, beat the boyfriend, and then ran off.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he remains on life support.
The sheriff has issued an arrest warrant for attempted murder.
Investigators think he is in the Mayville or Marlette area.
