FLINT (WJRT) -

(11/13/12) - Flint police are investigating another homicide.

The man shot was 25-years-old and police say he was last seen by family and friends Sunday night. His name has not yet been released.

Someone called 911 at about 5 Tuesday night to report a body found near Warren and Chippewa, on the city's north side.

Police tell ABC12 the victim has been shot a number of times and his body may have been there a while.

This latest homicide puts the city one step closer to surpassing the record set two years ago for the deadliest year. The record for the city in 2010 was 66.

Tuesday's victim marks the 62nd homicide this year.

ABC12 spoke with people who live in the neighborhood. They say they're fed up with all of the violence taking place in their city.

"I been going to funerals just about every day of people I know. This need to stop, everybody come together," said Frederick Youngblood.

"It's sad. Every other day, you hear about somebody getting killed down this way or something. We got to have some kind of solution to this," said Kim Ward.

Police are still investigating. Stay with ABC12 for more on this story.
