(11/14/12) - The trial continues for the man accused in the gruesome death of an
elderly Lapeer County woman, back in October of 2006.
86-year-old Marie Warren was found in a ditch by horseback riders in Deerfield
Township.
She was beaten - her body mutilated.
Six years after her death, investigators charged Frank Choate with her murder.
Choate's attorney raised questions about the reliability of crime scene evidence
presented by the prosecution last week.
A state police forensic analyst was questioned Wednesday morning.
Investigators say they linked Choate to the crime through DNA on a single strand
of hair.
