FLINT (WJRT) -
(11/14/12) - A beloved UAW Local 326 president, known for his hard work in the Flint area and massive display of baseball hats, has died.
"Whitey" Hale died Sunday. He was 79 years old.
Hale is remembered by those who knew him as colorful and passionate about the UAW.
He started working in the early 1960s at the Fisher Body Turnstedt plant on Coldwater Road in Flint.
His career with UAW Local 326 spanned 35 years.
