Local church helps fight crime

Posted: Updated:

(11/15/12) - A local church is reaching out to help on Flint's south side.

They are opening their doors to their neighbors. Not just for prayer, but to become a partner in the fight against crime.

Lincoln Park United Methodist Church is in the heart of Flint's south side.

The pastor says he sees all sorts of crime, from theft to prostitution, and now they are doing something to protect residents.

The last Thursday of the month, the church is having a neighborhood crime watch meeting.

Lincoln Park Methodist is also allowing the south side mini-station to opened up in their basement.
