Bargain shoppers already camped out at Best Buy

FLINT TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -

(11/19/12) -  Lisa Gobie and her husband are first in line at the Best Buy store in Flint Township. Their tent was set up Monday morning.

Gobie, from Grand Blanc, says she knows what people are thinking.

"They're thinking we're crazy, but I don't mind. It's fun," she says.

Gobie says she and her husband switch spots when one of them has to work, they have time off and a friend who will helping out too.

She's hoping to get a TV and a laptop, at least.

"I'll make a list out here. It's not like I'll be doing anything else," she says.

Gobie says when all of her shopping is done Friday, she'll head home and cook the Thanksgiving meal then and everyone will sleep - not in a tent.

The store doors open at midnight Friday.

Ashley Wagner is first in line at the Saginaw Township store. She also set up a tent Monday morning.

"I got here about 8:30. My mom helped me set it up before she went to work," Wagner says.

It is exactly where she wants to be after a mishap last year when she was third in line.

"The guy in front of me cheated me out of some stuff.  He had a bunch of family members show up at the last minute. I didn't want that to happen this year.
