SAGINAW (WJRT) -
(11/20/12) - Hundreds of families in Saginaw are getting a little extra help this holiday season thanks to Pittsburgh Steeler star LaMarr Woodley.
This is the fifth year the former Saginaw High School Trojan has held a giveaway to help his hometown.
Tuesday, boxes full of paper products, washing powder, and other household goods where handed out to community members who lined up around the Civitan Recreation Center on Saginaw's north side.
Woodley says it means a lot to him to be able to give back.
Students from Saginaw High helped with the giveaway.
About 500 boxes were handed out.
