Aunt urges people to come forward with information about attack

GENESEE COUNTY (WJRT) -

(11/20/12) - The aunt of a woman found barely alive, in a Mt. Morris Township ditch earlier this month, says she is doing better.

Ashley Lucier, 25 and most recently living in Flint, was found by someone walking along Carpenter Road early the morning of Nov. 1.

She was naked and her neck had been injured.

Police say they have no suspect information at this point.

Lucier, a mother of three, remains in the hospital and in intensive care, according to her aunt Tana Crandall-Nelson.

Lucier is still not able to talk, her aunt says.

Police say she is considered to be in stable condition now.

"I'm hoping the person who knows something, or if someone was with that person, will come forward. We need some answers. We don't know what happened. We're worried they may come after her again," Crandall-Nelson says.

Mt. Morris Township Police say they're waiting on DNA test results to come back and hope that can lead them to Lucier's attacker.

Lucier's medical bills are mounting, Crandall-Nelson says. Lucier does not have health insurance, she says.

The family has established a fund at Citizens Bank. You can donate at any branch.
