Wednesday travel conditions in Mid-Michigan

Posted: Updated:

(11/21/12) - The holiday weekend is almost here, and that means the mad dash to reach your Thanksgiving destination is underway.

If you are hitting the roads or the skies, you can expect to face a lot of crowds.

Forty-three million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more from their homes this weekend. Ninety percent are expected to drive to their destination.

Drivers told us the warm weather is making their travel much easier.

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.42. This time last year, it was about $3.25.

If you are traveling by plane, you should get there at least an hour and a half early. There was only one delay so far out of Bishop International Airport.
