(11/26/12) - There was plenty of excitement at Powers Catholic High School in Flint Monday morning.
Students were invited to sign their names to the first support beam that will be erected at Powers new home.
The private school plans to relocate from Carpenter Road to its new location, right next to the Michigan School for the Deaf.
The new Powers facility is scheduled to open next fall.
Monday night, from 6-7, the beam will be outside Blackstone's Pub in downtown Flint for a fundraising event.
Anyone who donates to the Powers Catholic Relocation effort will have the opportunity to sign it as well.
