LAPEER (WJRT) -

(11/26/12) - Get your lucky numbers ready!  Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot has grown to the largest in Powerball history - $425 million.

Mid-Michigan is hoping to hit it big again.

"Wouldn't that be something," asked Scott Appenzeller of Imlay City.  He bought a ticket Monday.

Lapeer County resident Donald Lawson was the sole winner of a $337 million dollar jackpot this past summer.

The owner of the Sunoco gas station where it was sold, the Odish Family Market and Sunoco gas station, cashed in too.  He got $50,000.

"It's really not hard to get people to play right now," says Gretchen Villarreal with the Michigan Lottery.

"It's going to be amazing because I'm sure the jackpot will grow way past $425 million. It is a multi-state drawing and it's also played in Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The sales are what impacts the prize," Villarreal says.
