FLINT TOWNSHIP (WJRT) -
(11/26/12) - Genesee County attorney Steven Spender has been sentenced to 500 hours of community service for allegedly hacking into a former female employee's email.
Spender practices out of the Spender and Rob law firm in Flint Township.
Spender pleaded no contest, in July, to one count of attempting to interfere with an electronic device.
He originally faced five felony charges. A judge also sentenced Spender to pay $2,000 in court costs.
A civil lawsuit against Spender is pending.
