(12/04/12) - Some Flint schools could fall under the control of a state-run district.
Bills are making their way through the legislature that would give the state authority to expand beyond Detroit and include schools in the lowest performing 5 percent in the state.
MLive says the schools that would fall into that category are Brownell, Cummings and Neithercut elementaries, and Northern High School.
Under the Education Achievement Authority, Detroit teachers and principals had to re-apply for their jobs.
