(12/05/12) - A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by former Flint mayor Don Williamson.
Williamson said Flint acted illegally when asking that he cover part of a $3.8 million arbitration award.
It was given to five officers who say they were kept out of a special police unit based on their race.
The judge said federal court isn't a place for Williamson's suit.
The judge also criticized the city for not challenging the arbitration award, saying it seemed excessive.
