Vigil held for Linden teen who took his own life

Posted: Updated:

(12/05/12) - Friends and family of a Linden teen held a candle light vigil Wednesday night.

17-year-old Joshua Pacheco took his own life last week. Josh's friends say he was teased and bullied at school. The school confirms they knew of one incident and corrected the problem.

They're trying to learn more about what Josh experienced at Linden High School.

Even with that said, his friends say Josh's smile could light up a room. He was a sweet and loving young man. They hope Wednesday night is the start of a new beginning to treat one another better.

Students are also taking a more active role in the anti bullying program, making sure kids who have been bullied have someone to talk to.
