
(12/07/12) - The federal government is recognizing General Motors' three plants, in Flint, for their energy-saving efforts.
Flint Assembly, Metal Center and Engine Operations met the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Challenge for Industry by reducing energy costs and use.
GM says all three plants avoided more than $5 million in energy costs through their efforts.
