2 Millington students in custody after possible threats

Posted: Updated:

(12/19/12) - Two teens are in custody after police say they may have made threats against a Mid-Michigan school.

The details are unfolding in Tuscola County, in Millington.

Millington's superintendent said he spoke with the prosecutor, and there are some developments, but that's all he knows.

The prosecutor tells us a student overheard other students planning an attack on the school and alerted authorities.

Police searched three homes in Arbela Township, which is near Millington. The prosecutor says they did find physical evidence.

Police say the two students in custody are 15 and 16 years old, and Millington High School freshmen.

After last week's tragedy in Connecticut, security and safety is top priority and the entire district canceled classes for the rest of the week.
